What does the number in the microchip stand for?

The number of each individual microchip is a globally unique 15-digit code. Since 1996, transponder technology has been standardized internationally. Modern FDX-B transponders conform to ISO standards 11784 and 11785.

For microchipped animals this means global identification, uncomplicated border crossing and the return of runaway animals at any time.
